#1 KickAss thing:
Baby said, “The Dark Knight.”
I haven’t seen it, but even if I had…Baby’s #3 would still beat it on my list.
#1 is Dr. Horrible. I loved every second. I will buy it on DVD and I will probably buy it on itunes today, just to watch it again this weekend.
#2 KickAss thing:
Baby said, “Canoeing.”
[note: MS Word spell checked "canoing" as Rick had written to "canoeing" as I have it here. Typepad seems to wish to correct it back. I have no idea which is correct, please discuss. Let me know the outcome.]
Canoeing is nice, but it gave me a blister and made my shoulders sore, although in an email to Jane I typed “soar” instead of “sore” in describing my canoe-worked shoulders. She felt that it must mean that I really love canoeing, but do not want to admit the good feeling it gives me.
My KickAss thing #2 is my Classic Soft Rock Collection from Time Life. Baby bought it for me and this is Classic Soft Rock Weekend #3. Apparently, some people (including Baby) are not thrilled with every song and the continual rotation play. They need to calm down and just let it ride.
#3 KickAss thing:
As noted, Baby wrote,
“Dr. Horrible's Sing
Along Blog. Joss Whedon, creator of some of my favorite series
has done it again with the Dr. Horrible show - a straight for the web 45 minute
singing extravaganza starring Doogie Howser the cutest-internet
boyfriend ever, Neil Patrick Harris. I thought it inordinately clever and
completely over-the-top and as a web-based form of entertainment, it was
groundbreaking. Oh, and Sugar I bought Baby me the t-shirt
for his my birthday cause I and
you've gotta love him that.”
As you can see I have edited for accuracy. I don’t feel the need to find a replacement #3, as I like Dr. Horrible so much and love all of Joss’s work so much that he deserves two spots on my KickAss list.
#4 KickAss thing:
Baby said, “My house.”
Good choice, it is a lovely house. I have more curtains to sew today. There are small projects that need getting down. I have a vision for making this house truly wonderful and it might get there if we live here long enough. Even now, though it is open and warm and lovely. I had my dear friends over last night and it was so much fun. Except we taught Baby how to play Tarot, he immediately killed us in the first hand. I know he can count cards, but I thought the arcane rules would help to confuse him as much as we can get confused playing this game. It didn’t help. He may never get invited to play again. We simply don’t want such competition. The game is really about us forgetting how to play, joking our way and feeling accomplished when we get a good hand and make good contract. It is a FRIENDLY game of cards.
My #4 KickAss Thing is my friends and good game of cards. There is nothing more kick ass than them or that.
#5 KickAss thing:
Baby said, “Sean Tevis.”
I don’t know who that is and I don’t care. My #5 KickAss thing is my new sewing machine. It is freaking awesome to sew something this easily. My last sewing machine was old and barely functional anymore. It would seize up at the sight of nearly any kind fabric. It would jam, the thread would break and then the needle would snap and this would happen about every 17 stitches. (or so it felt)
My new machine is super KickAss. Small, as he is called even learned how to use it last night and he made two super cute ghosts out of white fleece.
